~Ardente Sud~

When I woke, there was very loud screaming and slamming. It was Mary. Again. "Oh god, not again... what is it this time?" I mumbled, sleepily getting out of bed. I checked the time - six o'clock. Still pretty early. I looked over at Abigail's bed, and saw her reading. "Up early again? I'm gonna see if I can stop Mary from making that ruckus and waking the whole school up." I changed into some comfy track pants and a shirt with a rainbow penguins standing above the words 'Rainbow Slide'. I walked out of the room and into the common room where Mary was holding a fit. "What's up?" I asked her.

~Mary Thompson~

"I'm in a very bad situation." I cried "The teacher took all my rum! I'm having some serious withdrawal! I was up all night and I'm going crazy!" I ran to my bed and climbed in "I need a nice long nap to calm me down. Sorry for waking you up so early..."I muttered through my pillow.

~Ardente Sud~

I raised an eyebrow questionably as Mary ran by. "Calm down! Today's the dance, and you don't have to go if you don't want to... Do you have a date, by the way? Just curious... I thought you were going out with Milak? Do you want me to text him or something?" I was extremely chatty in the morning, and the fact Mary was in such a state didn't help either. I followed after her. "I was going to get up soon anyways, you know? I mean, I don't want to be all sleepy looking for Alfred, do I? That'd be horrible... So, have you heard who's going with who? I only know, like, a couple myself." I couldn't help but be a gossiper right now. I gossiped a lot when I was excited, like now. I mean, who wasn't excited about going on a date with that really cool American guy? Wow I'm just blathering again...

~Mary Thompson~

"The dance is today?" I sat up "I'm not sure if I wanna go. The guidance consoler says I should stop being shy and take part in school activites...but I'm really shy. Plus I've been waiting for Milak to ask. Do princesses ever ask to marry the prince? No, she waits for the prince come and fall in love her and sweep her off her feet." I said "The worst part is I'm not sure what to wear to the dance! I dont know if I should wear something long, short, bright or dark! The whole dance'll be a disaster for me if I don't pick the correct dress!"

~Abigail Kirkland-Jones~

I left the dorm to go to the common room when the commotion got louder. As it turned out it was Mary, who had gotten in trouble for sneaking alcohol again. I stayed back and let Ardente talk to her, but when Mary talked about the prince asking the princess, I had to step forward.

"Well sometimes the princess has to take charge and ask the prince. If you want to go with Milak and he hasn't asked you, you have to ask him. And just pick a dress that suits you. I'm sure you'll look good in anything you have."

~Arthur Kirkland~

"Well then, he's being a good brother, trying to cover up for your mistakes. And that makes it your fault that we all woke up early." I knew Alfred was fond of pranking, especially me. He enjoyed teasing me to no end. One time I had gone through my textbooks to find that one of them had been replaced by a Batman comic. I hadn't figured he would prank Matthew though. "And do have more manners." I lifted up his foot from Matthew's painting and pushed his leg off the table, just before my mobile rang. Caller ID said it was my mother.

Oh no. I answered it, dreading the question she was going to ask me. Even worse would be her response to my answer. "Yes mum, I'm going to the dance this year... Yes, I have a date. I can't go without one... Um, no. I'm not going to put her on the phone... Because she's not a she. Look, I'll ring you later. I've got to go." I closed the phone and shoved it back in my pocket. "Where were we? Ah yes, you were being obnoxious Alfred. Feet stay off the table."

~Mary Thompson~

"Nah..." I said "I'm not even sure if we still like each other. He set my house on fire without doing anything in return or apologizing. Ever since I haven't been thinking too brightly about him. Besides, I dont think he'd like a drunken woman with Borderline Personality Disorder. But I guess you're right about the dress....if I even gonna decide to go....I dont even care if I go or not. I think I'll take a long nap and try sneaking rum while the party's going on."

~Alfred F. Jones~

I folded my arms, looking away from Arthur and pouting. "You're such a killjoy! I wasn't even messin' it up or anythin'!" I took another loud sip from my coke just to annoy the Brit. Oh well, it wasn't like he could control how I drank my soda. Or at least, I hoped. It would've been embarrassing or weird or creepy if he could control my mouth... Oh god, Alfred, of course he can't! You stay up way too much at night reading horror novels... or watchin' them... I checked my watch. Seven o'clock. "I'm gonna go start gettin' ready, dudes." I stood up, and headed to my dorm room, chucking my can in to the garbage can with a loud clang as I walked by.


~Ardente Sud~

"Okay, be that way." I muttered, leaving the room to get ready for the dance. I put on my dress, my high heels and my necklace, and started working on my hair and make up, which took around ten minutes.

[[OOC: Not going into full detail cuz I'm more of a tomboy and I don't do make-up and hair stuff, so I have no clue about it XD]]

~Matthew Williams~

I had flinched a little when I felt a hand grasp my left one, but I relaxed when I realized it was only Arthur. Maple, I'm jumpy today... I frowned a little at Alfred's foot on the corner of the painting, and was about to push it off myself when Arthur did. Arthur's phone then rang, and he picked it up, and by the look on his face and his answers, it was his mom. Speaking of which, my mom hasn't called me for a while... When Alfred announced he was going to start getting ready, I nodded. "I'll get ready too. Besides, I have to get someone to help with my hair... I can't go to the dance with bed head." I blushed a little, packing up my supplies and hurriedly walking to my room.

The 'someone' was actually my older cousin Francis Bonnefoy, but of course, knowing his and Arthur's rivalry, I didn't want to mention his name at the time being. Originally, he's expelled from the academy due to 'inappropriate behaviour', but he is allowed to come in to help with students occasionally, and only with permission. I had asked him because, well, a little awkward to admit, but, he was kind of the expert on dealing with my style of hair.

But first, I changed into the dark red suit, dress shirt and black shoes I was wearing, then sat on my bed, waiting. I heard some loud commotion coming from the dormitory common room, and a few minutes later, Francis walked in, his hair slightly more messier than usual. "Bonjour, Matthieu~! Comme ça va?" He said, speaking in French. "Ça va trés bien, merci, François." I replied, also switching from my mother tongue to French. The French man pulled out a comb and started working on making my hair look more presentable.

After what seemed to be years, Francis stepped back and inspected his work. "Oui, oui. Bien." He said as he put away his hair styling items into a bag with the flag of France printed large on the side. Humming Alouette to himself, Francis left the dorm room, smiling a little to himself. Thank god he wasn't that long. I thought as I checked my watch, which read 7:45 AM. Cousin or not, I wasn't fond of Francis.

After looking at myself in the mirror for several moments, and satisfied, I walked out of my dorm and sat down at one of the tables, waiting for Arthur to be ready. I hope he doesn't take long... and I hope he didn't mind Francis coming... momentarily. Even if he did mind, I hoped he'd forgive me. Eventually.

~Arthur Kirkland~

After Alfred called me a killjoy and left, Matthew went back to his dorm to get ready. I hung back for a few moments until everyone had gone. I stood up, about to walk to my dorm and get my suit on, when someone walked into the dorm. I spun around to see Francis. "You perverted frog! I thought you got expelled! What are you doing here?!"

I grabbed his shirt and yanked him close so I could punch him, when he smacked me. Francis and I had never gotten along since the day we met, and after he had gotten expelled I was glad to be rid of him. Now that he was here again we proceeded to fall back into old habits, i.e. trying to kill eachother.

After a few minutes of fighting he managed to spit out that he was here to help Matthew. I quickly let go of him and allowed him into Matthew's dorm, but only after I gave him a warning. His hair was a mess when he walked in. I didn't stay to see him leave. I went into my room and pulled my suit off the hangar.

Once I had gotten it on and combed my hair I went back to the common room. Francis was gone (good riddance) and Matthew was sitting at the table all dressed up. I walked over to him and leaned on the table. "You look stunning, Matthew."

~Abigail Kirkland-Jones~

"Okay. If you don't want to, that's fine." I followed Ardente back into our room and pulled my dress on with some nice brown flats. I let my hair down to brush it, then put it back up in a ponytail. I was done before Ardente because I didn't use makup. I checked the clock to see that it read 7:45. "Fifteen minutes. Oh gosh I'm so nervous."

~Matthew Williams~

I looked up as Arthur walked into the room, and I felt my cheeks burn bright red. "S-sorry about Francis coming in..." I apologized, looking away for a few moments. "I have no idea on how to style hair, and he was the only person I could think of who had at least some clue... no offence, but seeing the other boys' hair styles, I can't really trust them or myself for doing a half decent job. Plus, I don't really want anyone who's the same gender and not related or dating me to touch my hair..." I smiled nervously at how ridiculous I sounded. As if I'm royalty or something.

~Mary Thompson~

"I have an outfit picked out for the dance." I pointed to my dresser "You guys can borow my stuff if you would like. I'm just gonna nap until someone or something wakes me up. I'm not even gonna put on my pajamas...it takes awhile to change in and out of..." I collapsed back into my bed "If anyone wonders where I am, I'll probably be here. If they want me just send them here"

~Arthur Kirkland~

"Yes, he said he was here for you once I let go of his throat." Every time Francis and I ran into eachother it ended in a fist fight where choking was not out of the question. "I do wish you would warn me next time you invite him in. That way I know to stay away from him. Otherwise one of us will be in the nurse's office before long." I checked my pocketwatch for the time. 7:50. "We're going to be late if we don't hurry. Come on." It is considered proper manners to offer your date a hand when they get up, so that's exactly what I did. I would also hold the door for him when we got there.

~Abigail Kirkland-Jones~

I was pacing back and forth in my room while watching the clock. Was Nord going to meet me outside the dorm or would we have to find eachother in the auditorium? Usually the guy came to pick up the girl, but as I had told Mary sometimes you have to take charge and find the guy. If I left though and it turned out he was going to pick me up I would feel stupid. "Ardente, are we going to go the auditorium or are Al and Nord coming for us?"

~Matthew Williams~

"Yeah... at eight fifteen they close the gym doors so no singles can run in and out." It was actually my first dance, so I had no idea what it was going to be like in there. "I hope they have good music," I said as I took Arthur's hand, using him to get up, feeling self conscious. I could've gotten up without the assistance, but I assumed Arthur just wanted to be gentleman-like. He even held the door open for me. Though I tried acting casual, I have to admit, I was walking quite fast. I really didn't want to be late for the dance.

~Alfred F. Jones~

I got changed quickly, taking a few moments to comb my hair back, and for the millionth time, was unsuccessful in flattening the large cowlick that protruded from my head. I had had it ever since I was little, and though my mother constantly fussed over making it stay down -even using expensive hair gels- the stubborn hair stood up. Over time, I learned not to bother with it - I'd just waste my time.

Speaking of time, I had a dance to get to. Knowing from past experience, the dude always dropped by to pick up the girl, usually in some sort of snazzy Convertible, but seeing as I couldn't drive a sports car through the walls and into the school, I was stuck with escorting Ardente. I'll also have less chance of gettin' detention and or hurtin' someone... On the bright side, I could probably drag Nord with me. He won't mind much, right?

Deciding on that plan, I went to Nord and Matthew's dorm room and kicked it open. It wasn't necessary, but the hero always had to have a dramatic entrance, right? When the door swung wide open, a startled Francis fled out. "W-what is he doin' in your room?!" I shouted at Matthew as the Canadian walked by. I looked around, my eyes landing on Nord. "Oh, hey, Nordy! Wanna go pick up our dates together?" I asked as I leaned against the door frame, acting like no creepy Frenchman ran by with a quiet Canadian following.

I turned on the tv. "Lets see what's on..." I flipped through some of the channels. Disney....to childish. I continued flipping. Big Bang Theory....nah... I continued flipping. Face Off....I guess since there's nothing on. I turned up the volume a bit. It was the episode where they had to make a person look beautiful but deadly. I've seen it before, but it's a good one.

I had only woken up at seven o'clock when I realized today was the dance, and I had no date! I quickly took off my pyjamas and pulled on a dark green suit and black shoes, but kept my red and white scarf on. The scarf had been a gift from the big intimidating Russian whose name is Ivan. It was a secret why I got it, but whatever. I ran out of my dormitory and towards the girls', knocking loudly on the wall. "Mary?" I called.

(OOC: I sorta expected *Knock Knock Knock* Mary? *Knock Knock Knock* Mary?)

"Coming!" I turned off the tv got out of my bed. I fixed my hair and adjusted my bow. One must always look their best when answering the door. I opened the door "Oh, hey Milak" I said casually "What's up?"I already knew what he wanted. I told Abigail he would ask. I would rub it in her face, but I'm better than that. My theories are almost always correct.

Oh, Greenland is 198 years old.

I watched boredly as Francis did Matthew's hair, trying to look as if I wasn't paying attention. I was about to leave the room to get Abigail when I heard footsteps and someone kicked the door wide open. Jolted, I stood straight up, and Francis bolted out of the room. It turned out that the person who nearly blew the door off it's hinges was Alfred. He offered to go with me to pick up our dates. "Um, sure..." I said, a little tentatively, honestly a little weary of him now that he almost broke our door down.

And I think Milak is around adult age, but in the Gakuen RP, he's teenager. Why?]]

"Aw, don't be like that! C'mon! And plus, we gotta be there by eight fifteen or somethin' or they'll close the doors on us!" I said, bolting out of the room. Normally I wouldn't be running -partly because of the rule, and partly because I was a *little* out of shape- but since I had around fifteen minutes to pick up our dates and get there, I had to speed up. Oh well. It wasn't like the teachers could expel us today, since it's not an 'official' school day. Without looking behind me to check it Nord was following, I kept running, reaching the girls' dorm quickly, and almost bumping into Milak who was standing there. Just because I felt like it, I started knocking on the door. "Knock knock knock. Ardente. Knock knock knock. Abigail." I was a bit guilty of watching Big Bang Theory. A lot.


~Milak Inuksson~

"Oh, nothing really... just the date thingy?" I was never good at pick up lines, so I just left it at that. Alfred appeared shortly with Nord, and he started a whole Big Bang Theory reference, totally stealing my line. "Hey," I exclaimed with a smile, "That's supposed to be my line."

(OOC: *Shrug* I was just wondering...

"You guys can come in. Ardente and Abigail are waiting for you two." I smiled "They sounded really excited to go to the dance with you." I looked at my clothes "I still have to get dressed for the dance, but I've been perfecting my ability to change quickly for awhile."

"Too late." I told Milak cheekily as I brushed by him, strolling into the girls' dormitory common room. "Are ya, like, sure we're allowed in here? Cuz we're dudes and bros and all of that stuff?" I knew there had been some old rule about no boys in the girls' dorms, but who knew when the rules were looser on days like today? "Oh well..." I picked up the remote control and flipped through the channels, stopping on Big Bang Theory that apparently just happened to come on.

"Al! Nord! Finally!" I had recognized my big brother's voice and exited my room to see him flipping channels on the tv. Same as ever. I thought with a smile. I hugged him and ran over to Nord, who had been waiting in the doorway. I curtsied and asked, "You look amazing. Shall we go?"

~Arthur Kirkland~

Matthew was moving faster than normal, but I easily kept pace with him. We got to the auditorium just in time. Five more minutes and they would've shut us out. I did the gentlemanly thing and held the door for him, but I confess, I did falter a bit when I saw inside. This was my first school dance. Dear god, the decorations. They really put a lot of effort into it. Most of the students were already there. Well, fashionably late was fine. The music hadn't started yet. They better play something I know how to dance to. I felt rather self-counscious, simply standing there while everyone else was chatting with their dates. I looked over at Matthew, hoping to spark a conversation until the start of the dance, but I felt myself turning red. Damn it! It's just a dance! Stop being embarrassed!

~Gilido Nord~

"Sorry I'm late," I said as I bowed to Abigail. "Some crazy American nearly bust down my dorm room and sent a petrified Frenchman scurrying for his life." As serious as I tried to be, the whole scene was down right hilarious, so I start laughing. I mean, I couldn't help it. If Alfred kicked open your door and sent Francis running off, wouldn't you be dying of laughter? "Oh, c'mon."


~Matthew Williams~

"Thanks," I said to Arthur as he held the door open. I stepped into the gym and was instantly hit by loud music, bright glowsticks and the smell of warm food being cooked. I noticed Arthur hesitate, as if cautious, and watched as a bright red blush gradually grow on his face. It was obvious he had never had the experience of being in this kind of situation, and it was now my turn to help him out. But... how? Of course, Francis had told me a little about this dating thing, what to do and what to avoid doing. It couldn't be that hard.

Something caught my eye, piquing my interest. The stage had a DJ standing on it, and a live preforming band, with a pianist, drummer, singer, bass guitar, guitar player and a singer. An idea started forming in my mind as I headed over, slightly dragging Arthur behind me by the hand. I climbed up onto the stage, and whispered my plan to the DJ, who smiled back at me. The band stopped playing, and the guitarist took off his guitar and handed it to Arthur.

"I heard you liked to play guitar," I said slyly as I took the singer's spot at the front of the stage. I took a deep breath, first recalling the lyrics of the song I had been practicing in my dorm yesterday, then started singing it. "Heeeeey, heeeeey, heeeeey.... Your lipstick stays on the front lobe of my left side brains. I knew I wouldn't forget you, and so I went and let you blow my mind..." I hope Arthur knows the chords to this song...

"Well..." I said happily and smiled "Since you gentlemen have your woman, you should leave the dorms immediently and head to the gym for the party." I jestered away with some flickering of my wrist.

~Arthur Kirkland~

What on Earth was he up to? We weren't supposed to be on the stage unless we were performing. Apparently he had some sort of secret plan, because he started talking with the DJ. Then the guitarist handed me his instrument. That was when I figured out what was going on. A chance to show off on stage? Hell yes! Even a gentleman let loose every so often. I was quite the rocker when I wanted to be. I let Matthew sing a line before I started playing. Soul Sister. A surprising choice, but luckily one I knew. It was good to be in my element. Music was something I thoroughly enjoyed and could easily get into.

Nord and I entered the auditorium before Al and Ardente. The first thing I noticed were the lights. Colored spotlights danced across the floor, and several students had aquired glowsticks somehow. I took Nord's hand to steady myself. I'd never seen so many different lights outside of a festival, or when Alfred overdid the fireworks on his birthday. I looked up at the stage and gasped. Matthew could sing? I never knew that! He was really good. My gaze shifted to the guitarist beside him, who I recognized as Arthur. I knew he could play, but it was still unexpected. "Are there supposed to be this many lights? And the music that loud?"
